My name is Amit Thakrar and I am the son of Arvind Thakrar who was the founder of this website and producer of the latest version of the family tree.
It is with great sadness that I must inform you all that my father sadly passed away on 17th May 2016 after a short battle with heart and kidney failure. He fought til the last moment but sadly passed away in his sleep in the early hours of Tuesday morning. He was comfortable and had his family around him at the time.
The funeral took place on Monday 23rd May 2016 and a collection was made to support those children afflicted by the war in Yemen. Please use the link below to show your support in memory of my father for a cause that he strongly supported.
It is my pleasure and honour to follow in my father’s footsteps to take on the huge task of maintaining this family tree and hope that you will all continue to provide updates and sponsorship for years to come.
We will miss him dearly.
